2012 - 2013 SEASON : JOHN & JEN

John & Jen

MUSIC BY ANDREW LIPPA, LYRICS BY TOM GREENWALD
BOOK BY ANDREW LIPPA & TOM GREENWALD
OCTOBER 4-14 2012 AT CENTER STAGE THEATER

Set against the background of a changing America between 1950 and 1990, this truly original musical takes a look at the complexities of relationships between brothers and sisters and parents and children. This is the story of Jen and her relationships with the two Johns of her life: her younger brother, who was killed in Vietnam, and his namesake, her son who is trying to find his way in a confusing world. With a cast of only two people, JOHN & JEN is a tour-de-force for two actors who take them from childhood, through adolescence and beyond.

Tickets are available for purchase online at Center Stage Theater's website. Links to reviews are available on our press page.

After receiving requests for show-related discussion opportunities, Out of the Box Theatre Company is looking to encourage our audiences to learn more about theatre by adding a new special program to our repertoire. Following our October 7 matinee of john & jen, you're invited to connect with the artistic staff and fellow theatre-goers by participating in our first ever post-show discussion. This talkback will give you the opportunity to share your thoughts on the show, as well as to ask questions about the rehearsal and production process. Featuring a live video chat Q&A with special guest, Tony-nominated composer Andrew Lippa. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to talk with professional theatre artists about their work!
