Samantha Eve, Artistic Director and Founder
Samantha founded Out of the Box Theatre Company in 2010 with its inaugural production of Reefer Madness. Since then, she has gone on to produce six seasons of contemporary musicals with Out of the Box, receiving Indy Theater Awards for her direction of Spring Awakening, Next to Normal, and The Wild Party. She continues to perform with other companies in the Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles areas, including Color and Light Theatre Ensemble, Elite Theater Company, and SBCC Theater Group. She is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. When she's not in a theater, Samantha channels her creative energy into cupcake baking for special events through Violette Bakeshop.

Katie Williams, Stage Manager
Katie has been an active member of the Out of the Box family since joining the production team of Spring Awakening as an assistant stage manager in 2012. Since then, she has stage managed Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Next to Normal, Carrie, Bonne & Clyde, BARE: A Rock Opera, The Wild Party, and Heathers. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Dramatic Arts. Katie continues to work with many other companies in town, some of her favorite productions including Boeing, Boeing (Circle Bar B), When the Lights Go Out, and every youth theater class she's had the pleasure to teach. When she's not in rehearsals, she can sometimes be found line dancing on Country Night Wednesdays at Boondocks.

Mandy Sabedra, Assistant Stage Manager
Mandy graduated from Santa Barbara City College's Theatre Department. She's previously stage-managed Dead Man's Cell Phone, In the Next Room or the vibrator play, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Other Desert Cities, A Flea in Her Ear, and a student showcase Festival of One Acts with SBCC Theatre Group. She's also stage-managed shows such as Lend Me a Tenor, Beauty & the Beast Jr., and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts.

Kacey Link, Music Director
Kacey joined the Out of the Box team music directing 2015's production of BARE and has music directed every show since! She is a pianist and a scholar residing in Santa Barbara, and has also worked as a pianist for DANCEworks, Opera Santa Barbara, Kansas City Lyric Opera, and New Theatre of Kansas City as well as accompanied classes for such prestigious artists as Marilyn Horne, Yo-Yo Ma, and ballerina Heather Watts. As a scholar, her research focuses on the music of Latin America and has co-authored the forthcoming book Tracing Tangueros: Argentine Tango Instrumental Music (Oxford University Press). She holds degrees from University of California - Santa Barbara (D.M.A.), University of Miami (M.M.), and University of Kansas (M.M., B.M.).

Liam Cetti, Music Director
Liam has played drums in the pit for many Out of the Box Theatre Company shows, including The Wild Party and Bare: A Pop Opera, both of which won an Indy award for Best Musical Direction. He studied contemporary writing and production at Berklee College of Music, and was the resident drummer for Earthstone Theater Co. at Boston Conservatory. While there, he played in a student adaptation of Holes and had the opportunity to record the original soundtrack in a professional studio. Liam will be conducting the Santa Barbara High School alumni choir concert in the spring and hopes to continue directing in the future.

Maggie Yates, Crew
Maggie is a writer, editor, and theatre artist, writing local theatre critique for both BroadwayWord.com and the Santa Barbara Independent, and discussing local theatre and performance events on KZSB 1290. She has been contributing to the Out of the Box team since relocating to Santa Barbara from the Bay Area in 2014. She also worked for The Shotgun Players in Berkeley, CA for many years, where she ran lights, sound, managed props, moved furniture, house-managed, helped with costumes, effects, was a make-up artist (Kabuki make-up!), poured wine, took tickets, ran raffles, house managed, and got her hands dirty with just about anything else that needed to be done.
